A brief description of the Kastoria area follows. Breakfast will usually be at the hotel, but lunch and dinner can be at any of the many excellent restaurants in Kastoria. Your guide will help you to customise your stay, arrange for all transportation and recommend restaurants to match your taste,

Kastoria is an open-air museum with many attractions. There are some 72 Byzantine Churches, a Byzantine Museum, a Folklore Museum, Mansions of past wealthy Kastorians that have been restored to their original glory, the Aquarium of Kastoria, the 1000 year old Monastery of Panagia Mavriotissa , the Dragon Cave , the Neolithic Lakeside Settlement of Dispilio and many other attractions.

In addition to Kastoria you will be able to make a day trip to the Prespa Lakes region and visit the picturesque Agios Achilios island and the graphic village of Psarades where you will be treated to an authentic lunch made with local ingredients.

Another day trip will be to the world renoun Alpha Estate winery in the Aminteo area for a tour and wine tasting and to the village of Nymphaion , home of the Boutaris wine making family and known for its Arcturos Brown Bear Sanctuary. This outing will be capped with dinner at the unique Thomas Taverna in Sklithro , Aminteo .

From Kastoria you will travel to Nestorio , a village nestled in the foothills of Mount Grammos and you will stay for two nights at the gorgeous Afkos Grammos Boutique Hotel Resort. A guide will help you plan your stay and a drive throughout the mountain and its valleys that will include some hiking to breath taking vantage points.

The travel must take place in 2025 and must be booked two months in advance so proper arrangements can be made. There is a blackout period for the first week of August.
